Tour description
This tour will give us a taste of life on the Mekong River and its tributaries. This tour starts in Ho Chi Minh City and from there we travel to heart center of Mekong delta through small channel, peace and lush villages, Here you would enjoy beautiful unique floating market of Cai Rang in Can Tho. Viewing life as the local population does gliding on the bustling waterways and shopping at floating markets and visiting local villages along the way.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh long
Your tour starts with 3 hour driving through the Mekong Delta to nice town by river of Vinh Long, get on river sampan boats for a cruise along the endless waterways of the mighty Mekong. We then visit some local cottage industries such as the coconut candy workshop, learn how to make pop-rice, or witnessing the process of making rice paper. Continue with our cruise through the maze of canals the criss-cross the An Binh Island, we land at an local house, where we will stay for overnight.

Day 2: Vinh Long - Can Tho
After breakfast with the host family, we will take our private cruise to visit Cai Be Floating Market, joining with local people to buy special fruits or other souvenirs. Continue our boat trip to Vinh Long. Some time we will stop for visiting brick pottery kilns and a floating fish farm. After that we drive to Can Tho. Afterwards, which is considered to be the heart of the Mekong Delta. Spend the night at our hotel.

Day 3: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City
Before starting our journey back to Ho Chi Minh City, we board a motor boat to visit a great unique floating market of Cai Rang, see the beautiful scenery and daily life culture activities of the locals on the water. Disembark at Ninh Kieu quay, visit an ancient house (in Binh Thuy, 10 km from Can Tho) and Can Tho museum. Have lunch at a local restaurant on the way back to Ho Chi Minh City via My Tho. Our tour concluded at hotel around 3 PM.

Meals

If you have any special requirements for food (vegetarian, vegan, food allergies) please kindly inform us in advance so that we can server you better. Our meals always listed as specified in the tour itinerary.

Breakfast - Breakfast is usually at the hotel and it would be a western style buffet or continental breakfast. We try to ensure that a choice of western and Vietnamese breakfasts are supplied, however there may be only Vietnamese breakfast is prepared in some remote places.

Lunches - Lunches are normally arranged at the Vietnamese restaurants near the scenic spots. Your tour guides will order food according to your appetite. Most are Vietnamese dishes, and some are modified to fit westerners' tastes. Drinks are normally not included in the meal.

Dinner - Same as lunch. If you prefer to not eat Vietnamese, Viet Vision Travel suggests you have dinner on your own. Your local tour guide can recommend some good western restaurants in the area.
