Tour description
This tour will give us a taste of life on the Mekong River and its tributaries. This tour starts in Ho Chi Minh City and from there we travel to heart center of Mekong delta through small channel, peace and lush villages, Here you would enjoy beautiful unique floating market of Cai Rang in Can Tho. Viewing life as the local population does gliding on the bustling waterways and shopping at floating markets and visiting local villages along the way.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh long
Your tour starts with 3 hour driving through the Mekong Delta to nice town by river of Vinh Long, get on river sampan boats for a cruise along the endless waterways of the mighty Mekong. First stops at the small restaurant by the river for enjoying the local delicacies lunch. Arrive at the lush orchards garden of Vinh Long where we spend the night in a local home-stay. The accommodation is simple - but it provides a unique experience and the chance to get to know a local family.

Day 2: Vinh Long - Can Tho
After having breakfast, we bid farewell to our hosts then the boat continue gliding to visit Mr Giao’s garden and the handicraft villages to see how bricks and pottery items are made. The visit also allows you to discover how fish sauce and Soya bean sauce is made. Arrive in Vinh Long Town for lunch. Afterwards, it takes about 1.5 hours to arrive Can Tho city, which is considered to be the heart of the Mekong Delta. Spend the night at our hotel.

Day 3: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City
Before starting our journey back to Ho Chi Minh City, we board a motor boat to visit a great unique floating market of Cai Rang, see the beautiful scenery and daily life culture activities of the locals on the water. Disembark at Ninh Kieu quay, visit an ancient house (in Binh Thuy, 10 km from Can Tho) and Can Tho museum. Have lunch at a local restaurant on the way back to Ho Chi Minh City via My Tho. Our tour concluded at hotel around 3 PM.

Meals

If you have any special requirements for food (vegetarian, vegan, food allergies) please kindly inform us in advance so that we can server you better. Our meals always listed as specified in the tour itinerary.

Breakfast - Breakfast is usually at the hotel and it would be a western style buffet or continental breakfast. We try to ensure that a choice of western and Vietnamese breakfasts are supplied, however there may be only Vietnamese breakfast is prepared in some remote places.

Lunches - Lunches are normally arranged at the Vietnamese restaurants near the scenic spots. Your tour guides will order food according to your appetite. Most are Vietnamese dishes, and some are modified to fit westerners' tastes. Drinks are normally not included in the meal.

Dinner - Same as lunch. If you prefer to not eat Vietnamese, Viet Vision Travel suggests you have dinner on your own. Your local tour guide can recommend some good western restaurants in the area.
