Discover North Vietnam on this trip which allows us to visit the hidden charms of the Red River Delta. Along the way we will encounter pastoral landscapes and sweeping panoramas as the rural population carries out the business of farming rice paddies. We will visit the historical area of Hoa Lu, Thung Nang's elaborate system of limestone karsts and the charming, mysterious Cuc Phuong National Park. This trip is a great combination of soft cycling, sightseeing and walking.

Gratuities and tips
Day 1: Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc
Departing from Hanoi for Hoa Lu at 8.00 AM. Once there, we will cycle to visit the two remaining temples of this ancient capital then the picturesque setting of Tam Coc, an hour away. After lunch there, we will cycle to Thung Nang where we will explore the dramatic limestone cliffs set in the rice paddies and the tunnel caves by rowing boat (bamboo sampans) Overnight stay at the hotel in Ninh Binh town.

Day 2: Ninh Binh - Cuc Phuong National Park
In the morning we depart from Ninh Binh and drive about half an hour to Dong Dao plantation where we start cycling. Today we will cycle about 30kms along the panoramic road to Cuc Phuong National Park. We will go through the pineapple plantations, valleys and villages, meeting friendly people along the way. Arrive Cuc Phuong about noontime, after enjoying our lunch box here. We visit the Endangered Primates Rescued Center and cycle through the National Park. Tonight we stay in the guesthouse in the Cuc Phuong.

Day 3: Cuc Phuong National Park - Hanoi
After breakfast we visit the Ancient Human Cave and trek in the national park for about 3 hours to the Ancient tree. After lunch in Cuc Phuong we will head back to Hanoi.

Breakfast - Breakfast is usually at the hotel and it would be a western style buffet or continental breakfast. We try to ensure that a choice of western and Vietnamese breakfasts are supplied, however there may be only Vietnamese breakfast is prepared in some remote places.
Lunches - Lunches are normally arranged at the Vietnamese restaurants near the scenic spots. Your tour guides will order food according to your appetite. Most are Vietnamese dishes, and some are modified to fit westerners' tastes. Drinks are normally not included in the meal.
Dinner - Same as lunch. If you prefer to not eat Vietnamese, Viet Vision Travel suggests you have dinner on your own. Your local tour guide can recommend some good western restaurants in the area.
