Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
Arrival flight: your arrangement
Up on arrival in Hanoi, you will be met at the airport by local guide, then transfer to Hanoi. Check in and relax. Tonight, we will enjoy our welcome dinner at a fine local restaurant in town.

Day 2: Hanoi – City tour
We will visit Ho Chi Minh complex and the Temple of Literature then we stop for our lunch at a local fine restaurant. This afternoon, we visit the Ethnology Museum, West Lake area (Quan Thanh Temple and Tran Quoc Pagoda), Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. We have one hour to tale cyclo to travel around the Ancient city to see the daily Life of Hanoi an and one more hour to watch The Water Puppet show in the Theater on the bank of Hoan Kiem Lake.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (Overnight on junk)
08:00 – 08:30: Pick up at hotel in Hanoi
11.45 – 12.00: Arrive at Tuan Chau Island
12.00 – 12.15: Transfer to cruise ship
12.15: Welcome Cocktail – cruise briefing, safety instructions, check-in cabins Depart to Ha Long Bay – cruise and program commence
13.00 – 14.30: Enjoy an Asian Buffet lunch as the vessel sails to Ha Long Bay passing the Fighting cocks islet (Hon Cap Ga), the Elephant leg islet (Dao Chan Voi), the Castle islet (Hon Dai Thanh), the TITOP Island.
14.30: Arrive at Luon Cave (Hang Luon) – explore most famous grotto in the entire Ha Long Bay by local rowing boat – Enjoy kayaking activities (weather permitted) or Discover the Surprise grotto (Hang Sung Sot)
15.30: Transfer back to cruise ship – Continue cruising through the bay
16.30: Arrive at Hang Tien Ong and visit the Cua Van Floating Village – experience the daily life of local people – possibility of kayaking
17.15: Continue cruise through Ha Long Bay
17.30: Enjoy the open-air cooking demonstration on the sundeck (weather permitting) and discover the secrets of the Vietnamese cuisine

Day 6: Hoi An city tour – boat trip
NO FLUORESCENT LIGHTS. NO MOTORCYCLES. NO TELEVISION. ON THE 15TH DAY OF EACH LUNAR MONTH, THE RIVERSIDE TOWN OF HOI AN GIVES MODERN LIFE THE NIGHT OFF.
Hoi An has a distinct Chinese atmosphere with low, tile-roofed houses and narrow streets; the original structure of some of these streets still remains almost intact. All the houses were made of rare wood, decorated with lacquered boards and panels engraved with Chinese characters. Pillars were also carved with ornamental designs.
We enjoy a morning walking tour around the ancient city to visit Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200 - year old Tam Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge.
In the afternoon, we will take 3 hour boat trip to Thanh Ha Pottery village, where we can see old men who produce jars, bowls, vases… Back to down town for coffee and relax.

Day 7: Hoi An – Cooking class
We start the day (8.15am / 1.30pm) with a drink at Hai Scout Café (98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An Ancient Town, Tel: 863210) – our meeting point.
Visit Hoi An's colourful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later. We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.
On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb and vegetable garden, before learning about some of Hoi An's and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – each dish is first demonstrated by the Red Bridge chef’s, before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat exactly what we have cooked.

This morning, we transfer back to Danang city for our short flight to Nha Trang.

Day 11: Nha Trang – Fly to Saigon
Today we take flight to Saigon.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) – Cu Chi Tunnel
In the morning we will leave Saigon for the Cu Chi tunnels, otherwise known as the "Iron Triangle" or "Iron Land". On our way there we will drive through pleasant countryside; rubber plantations and rice paddies. Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. After that we transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 13: Saigon – Mekong Delta
This morning we will be met in the lobby of hotel in Ho Chi Minh city by our local guide. We will leave for the Mekong Delta at around 08:00AM. Driving through the Delta to Cai Be Floating Market we then board our riverboat for a cruise along the endless waterways of the mighty Mekong. We will stop, visiting brick pottery kilns, and a floating fish farm. Afterwards we will board a small restaurant serving the local delicacies of the river. Later, we will arrive at the lush orchards of the house in which we will spend the night in a home stay with a local family.
Overnight in Vinh Long.

Day 14: Mekong Delta – Saigon
After breakfast with the host family, we will take our private cruise to visit Cai Be Floating Market, joining with local people to buy special fruits or other souvenirs. Afterwards, we will continue our boat trip along the maze of waterways and canals through An Binh Island. We will stop at an old southern house with a bonsai garden and visit some local cottage industries which produce candy as well as rice cakes. Following our cruise, we will return to the Pier and transfer to our awaiting vehicle to return to Ho Chi Minh city. Lunch will be at My Tho City and our trip will finish in Ho Chi Minh city at around 05:00PM.

Day 15: Saigon – Departure
Departure flight: your arrangement Our a waiting vehicle will transfer you back to the airport for our flight to home. Trip ends.

Breakfast - Breakfast is usually at the hotel and it would be a western style buffet or continental breakfast. We try to ensure that a choice of western and Vietnamese breakfasts are supplied, however there may be only Vietnamese breakfast is prepared in some remote places.
Lunches - Lunches are normally arranged at the Vietnamese restaurants near the scenic spots. Your tour guides will order food according to your appetite. Most are Vietnamese dishes, and some are modified to fit westerners' tastes. Drinks are normally not included in the meal.
Dinner - Same as lunch. If you prefer to not eat Vietnamese, Viet Vision Travel suggests you have dinner on your own. Your local tour guide can recommend some good western restaurants in the area.
