Vietnam Unplugged Journey Tour covers most of the highlights of Vietnam. It goes from the hustle and bustle of Saigon, the legendary Cu Chi tunnels, to the lush green rice basket of Vietnam, the Mekong delta. Added to these is the charming town of Hoi an, the culture city of Hue, the majestic Halong Bay World Heritage Site, Hoa Lu ancient capital and the new interesting tourist destination: Trang An Eco Tourism Area .

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Ho Chi Minh City
Transfer via: International Flight on your own arrangement
Accommodations: Grand Hotel Saigon
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, you will be welcome by our guide from Viet Vision Travel and transferred to our hotel in the center of Ho Chi Minh City. Once there we will be at our leisure and have time to relax. In the evening we will dine on wonderful Vietnamese cuisine at a fine restaurant in Saigon. We will then spend the night at the hotel

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City tour
Accommodations: Grand Hotel Saigon
Sites visited: Notre Dame Cathedral, General Post Office, Formal Presidential Palace, Museum of War Remnants, China town, Ben Thanh market. Today we have full day to explore the highlights of Saigon including Notre Dame Cathedral, the General Post Office, the Formal Presidential Palace and the Museum of War Remnants.
After lunch we will head to the center of China town to visit Binh Tay market, Thien Hau temple, and Ben Thanh market. We will stay overnight at the hotel in Saigon.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta

Sites visited: Cai Be Floating market, Mekong waterway, cottage industries
This morning we leave the city for the Mekong Delta. We arrive at Cai Be town, well known for its floating market. We take our private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals. After visiting some of the local cottage industries, we then go on to see a lovely Bonsai garden before a fabulous lunch. We continue our exploration toward the township of Vinh Long. From here we continue our bus journey to Can Tho.

Day 4: Me Kong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City

Sites visited: Cai Rang Floating market, Lower Mekong River
After breakfast we will start our trip with a boat cruise to Cai Rang where there will be hundreds of boats loaded with fruit, vegetables and fish jostling for trade. We will visit the lush orchards and will be treated to a variety of delicious tropical fruit. This will be follow by an afternoon drive to Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City is the big tourism center in Vietnam, attracting a large of visitors to Vietnam.
Cu Chi Tunnel
Cu Chi is known nationwide as the base where the Vietnamese mounted their operations of the Tet Offensive in 1968.

Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City - Tay Ninh - Cu Chi Tunnels
Accommodations: Grand Hotel Saigon
Sites visited: Cu Chi Tunnel, Cao Dai Temple
Following our breakfast we will head to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnel. After that we will go to Tay Ninh to visit the most attractive temple in the south of Vietnam, the holy see of the Cao Dai religious sect. The religion is a mixture of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Christianity, with a bit of Islam.

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City - Danang – Hoian
Accommodations: Hoi An Beach Resort
Sites visited: Cham Museum, "My Khe beach"
We take the morning flight to Da Nang then visit the Cham Museum in Da Nang, where there is a display of fine artifacts of the Cham people. We then visit "My Khe beach" and a marble crafting village. Later we will explore the charming little township of Hoi An with its old houses and temples. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Hoi An

Day 7: Hoi An

In the morning we can enjoy the walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Old town, visit Fu Kien assembly hall, the 200 year old Tan Ky house, the Japanese cover bridge, Hoi An Museum, and the handcraft workshops.

Day 8: Hoi An - Sanctuary My Son

We drive to visit the holy land My Son. This is a former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled central Vietnam. It is one of four World Heritage listed sites in Vietnam. At the end of the day we will be at our leisure to do our endless shopping in Hoi An. Overnight stay in Hoi An

Day 10: Hoi An – Hue – City in the afternoon

Sites visited: Hue’ Citadel, Imperial City, Traditional Music Show on Perfume River
We embark on a Northern bound journey to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. On the way we stop on the spectacular Hai Van Pass. The journey takes about 5 hours. In the afternoon we will have our first glimpse of Hue to visit the Forbidden Purple City and Dong Ba market. Tonight we will join the Traditional Music show in the boat on the Perfume River. Overnight stay at a hotel in Hue

Hoi An, Vietnam is a small town in Central Vietnam on the coast of South China Sea.

Day 11: Hue – Boat trip along Perfume River
Accommodations: Green Hotel Hue
Sites visited: Perfume River, Thien Mu pagoda, Tu Duc Tomb
Today we will take a boat cruise on the Perfume River to visit the picturesque Thien Mu, or Heavenly Lady Pagoda. Also worth visiting are the tombs of the former Emperor Tu Duc. We will be free to enjoy our leisure in the afternoon.

Day 12: Fly to Hanoi - Hanoi city tour
Transfer via: Vietnam airline at our arrangement
Accommodations: Flower garden Hotel Hanoi
Sites visited: Ho Chi Minh complex, Temple of Literature. Museum of Ethnology, Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake.
We will take a flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival in Hanoi in the morning we will be transferred to our hotel. We take the City tour after that to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum which includes is Mausoleum, the Presidential palace, is House on stilts and the One Pillar pagoda. Then we visit the Temple of Literature. After lunch we visit the impressive Museum of Ethnology, the finest museum in Vietnam. We follow this with a walking tour of Hanoi's vibrant Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. In the evening we can enjoy the unique Water puppet show. We will stay overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Notes:
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum opening time: Open from Tuesday to Thursday and weekends from 8am to 11pm. Closed on Mondays and Fridays. The mausoleum is closed for two months of the year, usually October and November, when Ho Chi Minh’s body is maintenance by Russian expert.

Day 13: Hanoi - Hoa Lu – Trang An Eco Tourism area

Sites visited Hoa Lu ancient capital, Trang An
We are met at the lobby of hotel by local tour guide then transfer 2,5 hour driving to Ninh Binh where we take amazing rowing boat to visit Trang An Eco-Tourism area. Trang An Eco-Tourism complex is a home of 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna that many of them in the Red book of Vietnam. It is also a gathering of 31 valleys, 48 cross-water caves and we will visit 3 to 6 of them. On the rowing boat, we can enjoy the fresh air, clean and clear water with under water grass. Experience ourselves the feeling and emotion when we are on the water caves….
After that, we transfer to restaurant for our lunch.

In the afternoon, we will visit Hoa Lu ancient Capital city of Vietnam of Dinh & Pre Le Dynasties between 968 & 1009 AD. Now there are only two temples remain which dedicated to the two kings remain. After visiting here we are going back to Hanoi. .

Day 14: Hanoi – Ha Long bay (Overnight on the deluxe junk)
Accommodations: Bai Tho Cruise Halong
Sites visited: Halong Bay’s caves, mountains
We depart Hanoi to Ha Long Bay, which is now one of four World Heritage-listed sites in Vietnam. Upon arriving in Ha Long City we transfer to our private boat for an amazing cruise of Ha Long Bay, and if the weather permits, we will have the opportunity for a swim in the crystalline emerald waters. The trip would not be completed without a sumptuous seafood lunch on board. Dinner will be served and we will spend overnight on board

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam has so much to offer visitors, is one of the most visited of the Vietnam.
Halong Bay
Halong Bay is famous internationally, and is recognized as a World Heritage by UNESCO.

Day 15: Ha Long bay – Hanoi
Accommodations: Flower Garden Hotel Hanoi
Sites visited: Hallow caves, fishing village
Rising early we can hear the sound of the ocean coming to life for another lovely day. We will have our breakfast over sunrise before more exploration of Ha Long Bay by junk and then by rowing boat to the lagoons. We will visit Luon cave, and the floating villages. We then sail to explore the Bay and have a fresh seafood lunch on board before approaching Ha Long wharf. We will return to Hanoi at around 03:00PM. There is an overnight at a hotel in Hanoi.

Breakfast - Breakfast is usually at the hotel and it would be a western style buffet or continental breakfast. We try to ensure that a choice of western and Vietnamese breakfasts are supplied, however there may be only Vietnamese breakfast is prepared in some remote places.

Lunches - Lunches are normally arranged at the Vietnamese restaurants near the scenic spots. Your tour guides will order food according to your appetite. Most are Vietnamese dishes, and some are modified to fit westerners' tastes. Drinks are normally not included in the meal.

Dinner - Same as lunch. If you prefer to not eat Vietnamese, Viet Vision Travel suggests you have dinner on your own. Your local tour guide can recommend some good western restaurants in the area.
