This trip has been designed to cover all the highlights of the north east of Vietnam. It has a great variety combination between; Ba Be Lake, Cao Bang, Ban Gioc waterfall, the border town of Lang Son and Ha Long Bay.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Hanoi
Upon arrival we will be welcome at the airport and delivered to our hotel. We will be given a briefing about traveling in Vietnam before enjoying a special welcome dinner at an excellent Vietnamese restaurant.

Day 2: Hanoi - Ba Be Lake
We depart from Hanoi at 07.30. We arriving in Ba Be town around 14h30, after checking in at the guesthouse, we will head out for a bit of exploration before the sunsets.

Day 3: Ba Be Lake
We take our private boat for a cruise on the lake. We take a short trek to a Pac Ngoi village - Tay Minority People. We continue to visit Dau Dang waterfall, Puong Cave and more cruising along the Nang River.

Day 4: Ba Be Lake - Cao Bang
8h00 we drive 90km to Cao Bang. The Province is the home where the H'mong, Dzao, Tho and Nung ethnic minorities people live in harmony.

Ba Be Lake is Ba Be National Park Center with likely special configuration contracted in the middle and swollen out on the two ends.

Ban Gioc Waterfall is on the border with China. It is over 90 km from Cao Bang, equivalent with more than 2 hour drive each way.

Day 5: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc waterfall
After breakfast at the hotel we depart for Ban Gioc waterfall. It takes a 3 hour drive from Cao Bang to Ban Gioc waterfall, which forms a natural border between Vietnam and China.

Day 6: Cao Bang - Lang Son
In the morning we drive 150 km to Lang Son on the Chinese border. We stop for taking photos on That Khe Pass. After lunch we go to visit Nhi Thanh Cave, Tam Thanh Pagoda and the market at Dong Kinh, the biggest market in the area fully stocked with Chinese goods. Overnight at hotel in Lang Son.

Day 7: Lang Son - Halong Bay
In the morning we depart Lang Son for the 180 km drive to Halong city. Overnight in hotel

Day 8: Halong bay - Hanoi
At 8h00 we leave our hotel for the Wharf, where we take our private boat to visit the secluded bay for 5 hours, having a wonderful seafood lunch on boat. We head back to Hanoi for overnight.

Day 9: Departure
Today we are free at our leisure until the time we transfer to the airport for our flight to home.

Meals

If you have any special requirements for food (vegetarian, vegan, food allergies) please kindly inform us in advance so that we can server you better. Our meals always listed as specified in the tour itinerary.

Breakfast - Breakfast is usually at the hotel and it would be a western style buffet or continental breakfast. We try to ensure that a choice of western and Vietnamese breakfasts are supplied, however there may be only Vietnamese breakfast is prepared in some remote places.

Lunches - Lunches are normally arranged at the Vietnamese restaurants near the scenic spots. Your tour guides will order food according to your appetite. Most are Vietnamese dishes, and some are modified to fit westerners' tastes. Drinks are normally not included in the meal.

Dinner - Same as lunch. If you prefer to not eat Vietnamese, Viet Vision Travel suggests you have dinner on your own. Your local tour guide can recommend some good western restaurants in the area.
