Ho Chi Minh City has a so-called subequatorial climate with high and stable temperature.

Average monthly sunshine reaches from 160 to 270 hours, average humidity is 79.5%. The yearly mean temperature is about 27.96ºC. While April has the highest average monthly temperature (30.5ºC), December is the lowest month (26ºC). The city has rainfall averaging around 1934mm.

There are two separate seasons. The rainy season lasts from May to November. It usually rains in decline of day, quite hard but in short time otherwise sometime it continually for all day. The dry season is from December through April next year.
